Concrete bars are so trendy, but so expensive. Here’s how to DIY it with cinderblocks that cost about a dollar each and create the perfect space for entertaining your guests.
- Building Blocks (can be purchased from Cape Brick)
- liquid nails adhesive
- pine 2 x 12’s
- wood stain
1. Decide on the size of your bar and calculate the number of building blocks.
The only hard part of this project is lifting the blocks, so find a strong friend to help you out with this one.
Then begin the next row, being sure to alternate the blocks in a random pattern. Offset a few so that you can add some color and texture to the front with succulents.
Once the stain has completely dried, brush on several coats of high-gloss polyurethane, letting it dry in between coats.
With a little heavy lifting and a lot of creativity, you can have a really unique bar with a lot of texture and interest!
