Paving the Way to a Mud-Free Zone

For shelter animals, having a dry place to sleep can mean all the difference between having a good day and a bad day.

DARG is situated on a large plot in Hout Bay and provides shelter for rescued animals. After heavy rains on Wednesday their dogs found themselves knee deep in mud as floods ran through their runs.

DARG relies on the public’s generosity and support through donations to keep afloat. On Wednesday Cape Brick donated enough paving to fix 4 of the 27 runs that were affected by the floods and the results are truly admirable.

Cape Brick PavingThe DARG team have been very proactive and have already paved one run while their teams continue working on the other three.

After seeing the great response from Cape Brick, Chas Everitt Cape Town South and SEOsocial have donated enough bricks to cover an additional two 20m² runs which means DARG still needs another 21 runs repaired.

Should you wish to make a donation please contact Jacques jtresfon@capebrick.co.za or Debra dbuys@intekom.co.za to make difference!
